The crystal sphere looks like a normal one from the outside, in the Flow, but from within is semi-transparent, and is difficult to see unless quite close up, within a few miles of it. The stars (in the constellations of 17thC Earth) appear to be shining from beyond the crystal shell, and be a very great distance away.
Portals can be seen as circles of faint phosphorescence, clearly visible a few tens of miles away, surrounding areas of total blackness; portals cannot be opened in such a way as to block the light of all but the faintest stars (suitable places are easy to find).
There are no sargassos in this sphere. There are no tinker gnomes native to this sphere.
In some cases spelljamming ships are mentioned in individual specifications of worlds, but the full detail should be in Ships.
In a number of places, for example within the detailed specification of Maj, GM Options are given, which will cause the campaign to work in a different way. There are also a number of campaign-changing options, which are written-up as seperate specifications:
Sun in the centre of MajSpace. An immense fire body, with no known inhabitants. There are stories that the nearest planet to Ra, called Hephaestus, fell into it centuries ago. However, there have been occasional reports by possibly crazed astronomers of sighting it within the fires of Ra. Most do not believe this planet exists, and that it likely never existed. If it did exist something far more effective than normal fire resistance would be needed on all who dared approach so close to Ra.
First planet in MajSpace. About the size of Maj's moon, Selene. Has no moons. Full detail is in Hermes.
Second planet in MajSpace. Maj-sized. Has no moons. Full detail is in Isis.
Third planet in MajSpace. 'Earth'-sized. This world has the geography of Earth, and has one moon. Full detail is in Maj.
First and only moon of Maj. Planet-sized. This world is based on Luna with an atmosphere, and a little life - it looks the same from Maj as Luna looks from Earth. Full detail is in Selene.
Fourth planet in MajSpace. Between Maj and Hermes in size. Has two, small, highly dangerous, moons. Full detail is in Durin.
This moon of Durin is a death trap, as it has no air, and any ships getting close to it 'share' their air envelopes with it, and effectively end up breathing vacuum. Any air that it acquires is slowly lost, it is believed by some sort of magical process, the same that is responsible for the thin air on Durin.
This brother moon to Tyrfing, also of Durin, while smaller, is a death trap in just the same way.
There are countless thousands of these, of many sizes. Some are rock, some valuable ore, some earth, and some rock and ice. The only known inhabitants are strange Dwarves, who live on and in them, mining, and these worship the god Finagle, who's prophet is Murphy. They call themselves 'Belters', and some cut their hair in strange ways. Some of these dwarves trade with those on Durin. It is said that terrible monsters lurk in The Belt. Full detail is in Belt.
Fifth planet in MajSpace. Immense. Many moons. While this is an air body it is poisonous, and opaque. Some sages speculate there could be creatures like immense gas bags that float, dreaming peaceful but strange thoughts, deep in the atmosphere, but there have been no reliable reports of such. Some believe that there might be a small, rocky, core (maybe Maj sized?) in the centre.
Largest of the many moons of Dagda. Planet-sized. Little is known of this, as few reports have come back. It is believed possible that dragons live here, and don't want anyone to know much of the world.
Sixth planet in MajSpace. Immense. Many moons. Believed to be similar to Dagda, poisonous and opaque, but colder. Some sages claim to have had visions of Cloud Giants, and even Storm Giants, and Titans, presumably who are not bothered by the poisonous air, with immense cloud castles, and even whole cloud cities, deep within the atmosphere, but there seems no evidence to back this up. Some believe that there might be a small, rocky, core (maybe Maj sized?) in the centre.
Largest of the many moons of Chronos. Planet-sized. Also called the 'Spider Moon', because it is a mysterious abode of the drow, and a number of other light-hating humanoids and monstrous creatures. Even though it is so far from the sun, Ra, much construction is still underground. Many fungii grow here, with unusual properties, and some actually make use of the heat from the sun, while cooling themselves in the icy rivers, some of which flow deep underground, to live on. Full detail is in Arach.
Seventh planet in MajSpace. Very large. Many moons. Believed to be similar to Dagda, but colder; also certainly does not have a rocky core.
Largest moon of Gwydion, with a diameter half that of Selene. Lleu is a world of storm clouds and storm-tossed seas broken by three large, mountainous islands: Blodeuwedd, Goronwy and Dylan. Full detail is in Lleu.
Second largest moon of Gwydion, with a diameter half that of Selene. Hydwn is a dim world of cold deserts, buried cities, petrified forests and vast chasms. Full detail is in Hydwn.
Eighth planet in MajSpace. Very large. Believed to be similar to Dagda, but colder; almost certainly does not have a rocky core. Has terrible winds, estimated to be in excess of 1,500 miles per hour. Air from this world is believed ideal for Increase Maneuverability and Decrease Maneuverability spells, and is an excellent component in magic items which do these.
Largest moon of Aegir. Believed that it could be inhabited by Frost Giants, who are said to be able to make ships capable of wildspace travel out of solid ice. <Anyone want to flesh this out?>
Apparently the nineth planet in MajSpace, but believed to be a displaced moon of Aegir, this has a strange orbit that crosses that of Aegir, then swings out much further from the sun. Full detail is in Anubis.
Moon of Anubis. While this is an Earth Body it gives off some heat (but not light), which is one of the things which prevents Anubis from freezing. By some stories this was originally part of Anubis, but the cataclysm which wrenched Anubis away from Aegir also broke the ex-moon in two, forming Anubis and Anput. The fact that Anput is the female form of the name Anubis lends some support to this.
